This year the SLT is actively working on our goal of inclusion. As our school has grown, so too have the needs of our community. The SLT is developing a number of long-term initiatives to ensure that we continue to address the needs of everyone in our school community, to make ALL feel welcome and included at Spruce.
In the short-term we have identified an immediate need for supplies which will be placed in a closet at the school and available to every member of our community. This program will be called “Spruce Shares” and the idea behind the closet is to have necessities available to our student body, families and teachers should the need arise.
We have found the space for the closet and now we are asking for your help to stock it up with necessities. We are looking for:
Shampoo, body wash, diapers, feminine hygiene products, underwear, pajamas, bedding, towels, band-aids, diapers & wipes, backpacks, food gift cards, deodorant, toilet paper, Paper towels, t-shirts and leggings.
You can source these from anywhere, however we have attached an Amazon Wishlist for your convenience.
If you need items from the supply closet, please contact Parent Co-ordinator: Valerie Salitan (firstname.lastname@example.org) 212-266-4800 x 2492, Guidance Counselor: Sarah Maiolo (email@example.com) 212-266-4800 x 2493, or your classroom teacher.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
